Orphan Fund and attended the Blessing of the Cars in Uniondale, NY.

During the Summer Lodge 911 was represented at two events. The first event on June 12, 2016
was the Centurion Cruisers and Police Surgeons Benevolent Association at St. Anthony’s High
School in Huntington honoring fallen NYPD Police Officers Brian Moore and Randolph Holder, both
killed in the Line of Duty during 2015. All of the proceeds went directly to their families.

The second summer event on July 17, 2016 was the Centurion Cruisers Car Club and David Lerner

Memorial Day 2019 -  "Field of Honor"
Memorial Day is a day set aside each year on the last Monday in May to remember and honor the
members of our military who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.  Memorial Day 2019
will be celebrated on May 27th, 2019.

This year, the Fraternal Order of Police Law Enforcement Officers Lodge 911 is planning a special tribute
to our military people who made the Supreme Sacrifice by creating a “Field of Honor”. For those who may
not be familiar with a “Field of Honor” it is a display of American flags on an open expanse of land similar
to the following photo:
Lodge member Robert Licata, who is also a Trustee at the Babylon Masonic Historical Society, in
conjunction with the Babylon Masonic Lodge, have graciously welcomed the “Field of Honor” to be
displayed in front of the Babylon Masonic Lodge located at 250 West Main Street, Babylon, NY.

Lodge 911 is looking for members to sponsor a flag by making a donation of a minimum $20.00.  A flag
will then be designated for a cause at the contributor’s request (i.e., In Memory of _______, In Honor of
_______, In Support of _______).  The sponsored flag will be numbered, and appropriate recognition of
the contributor will be displayed at the site.

All monies raised from this event will be donated to the Long Island State Veterans Home in Stony
Brook.  The LISVH is a 350 bed not-for-profit skilled nursing facility located on the campus of Stony
Brook University. The dedicated staff at the LISVH stands ready to provide short term rehabilitation,
skilled nursing care and adult day health care to the 250,000 veterans who reside on Long Island.

The following is a link to a Field of Honor - Donation Form to assist you:

Field of Honor  -  Donation Form

Lodge 911 will collect all donations and present them to the Long Island State Veterans Home.

We wish to thank you for your consideration to donate to this event and we ask that at a minimum, each
member take a moment on Memorial Day, May 27th, 2019 to reflect on the supreme sacrifice many of
our Armed Forces people have made to contribute to our freedoms and way of life.
The meeting will include a dinner and the cost per member will be $15.00
with no alcoholic beverage.  Members wishing to have alcoholic beverages must purchase it
themselves before or after the meeting.

We need to make a reservation for this meeting so please let us know if you plan to attend
